The gas-sensitive semiconductor (SC) provides extraordinarily low cross-sensitivity to humidity and methane, ensuring accurate results with a resolution of 0.1 ppm H2.

Thanks to its innovative operating concept, large screen, and simple menu structure, device operators can quickly achieve reliable results.

When combined with the D80 bell probe, you can obtain exceptional response times.

The extended measurement range of the thermal conductivity sensor, up to 100% volume H2, allows for additional measurement tasks with ease.

Record your measurements and transmit results using the USB interface on your computer.

The device is powered by four AA rechargeable batteries, which can be charged in just 3 hours and provide at least 8 hours of operating time. Alternatively, you can use disposable batteries.

  • Especially useful for gas distribution companies, consolidating all applications into a single device (surface leak detection, manifold leak detection, leak detection in pits and holes, indoor and outdoor leak detection, ethane analysis, and high-risk area leak detection).
  • Leak detection is no longer solely based on the highest methane levels. The primary leak location is where CO2 and O2 levels are lowest when methane is at its highest. The VARIOTECH 480 is the only system with these sensors in one application.
